2024 Parade Grand Marshal

Sigrid Keyes was a traffic cop and crossing guard for almost 50 years in our community. You might have seen her in the early hours in front of Thomaston grocery helping kids and community members cross the street safely. She was and is a staple in the town of Thomaston and we are lucky to be able to feature her legacy. Sigrid has been working in the town long enough to meet the siblings, children and sometimes grandchildren of people she met when she first started. That sense of community is important to her and the impact she’s made on all is why she has been chosen to Grand Marshal our parade this year.

Thank you Sigrid Keyes. We are honored to have you.

Mr. Thomaston

I am Joey Bell! I am graduating from Oceanside High School with Magna Cum Laude Honors. I will be graduating as my schools only AP scholar with honors. I will be attending the University of Maine Orono and studying Pre-law and economics. This past winter, I coached the Thomaston 3rd and 4th grade basketball team. We took to calling ourselves the Thomaston Tornadoes. I love the town of Thomaston and am honored to represent my community in the parade!

Ms. Thomaston

Hey everyone, my name is Jillian Barnard. I am proud to be Miss Thomaston and represent the town that I have grown up in. I graduated from Oceanside as an honors student, National Honors Society member, and National Technical Honors Society member. I am also the SkillsUSA Maine Post Secondary Education Vice President. Outside of school I play multiple sports and coach little ones at The Maine Pitch along with serving my community as a member of the Rockland Fire Department. Next year I will be attending SMCC for a dual major in Fire Science and Paramedicine while doing their live-in program with New Gloucester Fire and Rescue.
